Submission Guidelines
We’re looking for your best work. Specifically, it should follow these guidelines:
- Please be selective, and send no more than two submissions at any one time. We’re looking for a diverse selection of contributors, not issues focused on one person, so we won't publish more than two in an issue anyway. A single submission is defined as:
- A piece of prose (fiction or non-fiction) of up to 10,000 words.
- Up to three poems of any length
- A single music, literary, film or art review.
- Up to ten photographs or visual art pieces which are thematically linked
- Submit only unpublished work. Exception: works published on (and only on) a personal web site will be considered.
- Submissions should be in one of the following filetypes:
- For textual submissions: Rich Text (.rtf), ASCII Text (.txt) or MS Word (.doc)
- For visual submissions: .jpg, .gif, .png or .svg
- Visual series / photo essays should be compressed into a single archive file (.zip, .tar, etc.)
Submissions should be sent as email attachments to submissions@coffeefaucet.com. Please include in the email body your name as you want it credited (pseudonyms are fine) and a short (50-100 words) bio.
Things we do not want:
- Political essays
- Flash (or any other) animations or movies
- Music or other sound files
- Novels or works intended for serialized publication
A Word About Copyright
You will, of course, retain the copyright to your own work. By submitting, though, you grant us the right to publish your work on our website; we retain no other rights, you are welcome to republish or sell the work as you see fit.
At present, we cannot offer any payment for works, only exposure.
