Apparently there is such a thing as an International Association of Astronomical Artists, because Nahks Tr’Ehnl is currently a member (got the little membership pin and everything!). Which is a good thing, really, because what else is a double major in art and astrophysics going to do after college?
Nahks is currently living in Raleigh, NC, with his wife, Rosemary Schwegel (currently a grad student in plant pathology at NCSU). Nahks doesn’t know what he really wants to do with his life yet, so for now he just works on pretty pictures. Nahks’s homepage is nahks.com.
